Creating Safer Homes Together

We all want our homes to be a safe place. When we work together, we can reduce the risk of accidents.

We all want our homes to be a safe place. IKEA can help you prevent accidents at home. Please work with us to make your home a safer place.
Secure furniture to the wall can effectively prevent furniture tip-over accidents. We urge you to inspect your IKEA chests of drawers and dressers to ensure that they are securely anchored to the wall using the restraints provided in the packaging.

If you need a replacement restraint kit to secure the IKEA furniture in your home, please contact our customer service counter where you made your purchase to get a free kit.

A safe sleeping environment for babies

Tip 1: Keep your baby sleeping on his/her back. It is not recommended to let your baby sleep on his/her stomach to avoid pressure on the breathing.

Tip 2: Be sure to remove any unnecessary items in the cot, such as extra bedding, toys, soft toys and others, since these items may hinder your baby's breathing.

Tip 3: Make sure your baby sleeps in the cot. It is not recommended to let babies sleep with adults because adult beds have sheets, duvets and other fluffy fabrics, which may hinder the baby's normal breathing function.

Tip 4: The temperature of babies is higher than that of children and adults, so a sleeping bag is enough to keep them warm, which also avoids fabrics that might cover the face. Make sure to expose the baby's arms so that he can move freely.
