Working at IKEA

Most people see IKEA products.
We see the many inspiring roles that make them possible.

What’s it like to work at IKEA? Hear directly from some of our co-workers.

A positive team spirit

We’re a diverse group of down-to-earth, straightforward people with a passion for home furnishing. We come from all over the world but we share an inspiring vision: “to create a better everyday life for the many people”. How we realise this vision is based on our shared humanistic values. These values are the foundation of our work and our inclusive, empathising, open and honest culture.

Working with us is like working with your friends. Our culture is based on the spirit of togetherness, enthusiasm and fun. And we’re always looking for people who share our positive attitude and values.

Career paths as unique as you are

One of the reasons I joined IKEA is that I love food! For me, IKEA is a unique company because it offers many development opportunities. We can choose and build our own career paths. Our founder said, “Only while sleeping one makes no mistakes.” We should never be afraid of trying and making mistakes as we pursue IKEA’s vision “to create a better everyday life for the many people”.
The Logistics department is responsible for delivering the right quantity of products to the stores at the lowest cost. As part of the In-store Logistics team, we share our knowledge of the supply chain, and work together with the Sales and Design team to ensure that the stores can make profits and offer home inspirations while maintaining high efficiency. We are committed to delivering the IKEA products to every corner of the world in the best ways possible.
Lead by example and simplicity are the two IKEA values that I like the most, and they make IKEA a fascinating and special employer. Working at IKEA, you will realize that simplicity is the best approach to communication, so I enjoy every minute here. And this experience prompts me to share the positive mindset with new team members as well.
