  1. Do I need to register an account before shopping?
    No, registration is not required.
  2. How do I check the stock availability?
    Customers are able to check stock availability on each product page. For online or home delivery order, customers may refer to stock availability in our Warehouse.
  3. Do you custom-make furniture?
    All IKEA products are designed in Sweden and imported, that is why they are not custom-made. But you will also notice that most of our furnishings are modular in nature, which means you can 'customise' by picking pieces that would fit your own interior.
  4. Could I pre-order out-of-stock items?
    We do not provide pre-order service for out-of-stock items.
  5. Can I pick up my order at stores?
    As for all online orders, you may only choose our Merchandise pick up point as pick up location. As for all orders placed at stores, besides Merchandise pick up point you may choose picking up your order at Shatin, Tsuen Wan, and Kowloon Bay store only. And any side of the package should not exceed 180 cm and under the weight 25 kg.
  6. How can I know there is enough assembly space?
    Before you place the order, please make sure there is enough space for assembly. For more details, please click here.
  7. Can I amend my order?
    If you would like add / amend product items on your order
    - If you had made your purchase at our stores, we are unable to help you process amendments via telephone or e-mail. Please visit the Customer Service counter at the store where you made the original purchase with the original sales order and invoice at least 4 days before the scheduled delivery or assembly
    - If you had made your purchase online, we are unable to change or add products, or change fulfilment method on the original order. In these cases, you will need to cancel and place the order again online. Refunds will be made to the credit card used for purchase within 4-6 weeks. For cases with partial cancellation, we will also have to reschedule your service. Please send an e-mail to Online.sales@IKEA.com.hk, we will respond within 48 hours via e-mail or telephone call.
    - Please note that we may not be able to secure the same delivery or assembly date after order amendments
  8. What should I do if I received wrong products or damaged products?
    If your order arrived incomplete, contained damaged products, or didn’t even show up, we’re here to help. Visit our contact us page. We will help you find a solution. To ensure a smooth and efficient response, we would be most grateful if you could provide:
    Sales order number for any after sales enquiries
       o For orders purchased through the store, this will be a 8 figure number with SS, KS, CS or TS as prefix; 
       o For orders purchased online, this will be a 8 figure number with WS as prefix; 
       o If you are unable to find our sales order, please send us photos which can help us identify the product and follow up your case

    We do not require any information to obtain access to any part of our site, unless specifically stated. We may ask for specific information in order to provide a service to you, such as saving your shopping list.   2. When does the new catalogue come out?
    The annual catalogue comes out around August or September of each year. It lists the prices of the products which will remain valid for one year. In it, you'll discover our furnishings, accessories and room settings along with detailed information on materials, colours, sizes, product care and prices. That way you can plan your next visit to IKEA all from the comfort of your own home!
  3. How can I get a copy of the IKEA catalogue?
    The IKEA catalogue will be distributed in selected residential areas in Hong Kong around August. You can also browse our digital catalogue here instantly.

  1. How many items are there in the IKEA product range?
    There are about 7,500 items in our HK product range. Each store carries selected items, depending on store size.
  2. Where are IKEA products purchased?
    Our products are manufactured by more than 2,000 suppliers in over 50 countries, and they carry the same profile, which is good design, high quality, and distinctively Swedish/Scandinavian. The low price is literally built into the production and the flat packs facilitate a rational distribution, self service and immediate take away. All of our products are labeled "Design and Quality, IKEA of Sweden."
  3. How can I get large items home?
    Most IKEA products are flat-packed in sturdy cardboard boxes. It makes them easy to carry home. By taking them home yourself, you can put the delivery driver's wages straight into your own pocket and save money. But if you need a hand, home delivery is always available.

    You see, unlike other furniture stores, right from the start, we do not build the delivery and assembly costs into the price of our products. So you can choose whether to use these additional services, and at an affordable charge.

  8. What type of payment does IKEA accept?
    We accept payment by cash, EPS, credit card (VISA, Master, JCB, American Express or China UnionPay) and cheque. If you pay by cheque (Payment by cheque only applies to delivery of goods, delivery will be arranged after payment is confirmed), we will arrange for delivery once it is cleared. We also have a 6-month, 12-month or 24-month interest free instalment plan for the designated credit card.

  3. What items are available for IKEA Online Shopping Service?
    The majority of the IKEA Hong Kong range is available for the Online Shopping Service. All food, plants, meter fabrics and display items are not available for this service. Assorted color & style products in random delivery.
  4. How do I check the stock availability for shopping online?
    The stock balance shown in IKEA website is referenced to the stock availability at physical stores. Items available to purchase online displays the "available to buy online" button. The stock availability of Online Sales is checked at the time of purchase. (The final stock availability is subject to a final check by the system just before the payment stage.)
  5. Could I pre-order out-of-stock items?
    We do not provide online pre-order service for out-of-stock items.
  6. Are the prices at online store the same as those in-store?
    Prices are generally the same, but there may be promotional offers available exclusively for selected physical stores.
  7. Can I get a commercial receipt for an order placed online?
    For business orders, please email to ikea.business@IKEA.com.hk or call our dedicated hotline on +852 2648 9488 (Mon-Fri, 9:00am – 6:30pm). We are unable to provide quotation, commercial receipts, or other payment methods for online shopping service.
  8. Can I check my previous order in the website?
    The website does not provide this function at this moment. An email containing your order information will be sent to your registered email.
  9. What are the requirements for my browser to shop online?

Delivery Method
  1. What kind of delivery options available to choose when shopping online?
    You can pick up your purchases for free from our Merchandise Pick-up Point in Hong Kong Island East or Macau.If you prefer to have your purchase delivered to your home, you can select truck delivery where a service fee applies. We can also provide assembly service at a fee if you select home delivery.For selected items, you can pick-up your purchase at dedicated 7-Eleven convenience stores or have a parcel delivered to your office.For details of our delivery services, please click here.
  2. How can I book for the delivery / pick-up date and time?
    For merchandise pick-up service, booking system will arrange the earliest pick-up date and time for pick-up; For office parcel, home delivery and/or assembly service, customer can choose date and time slot from our online booking system; For 7-11 parcel pick-up service, customer will receive an email to notify you of the earliest possible pick-up date. In case there is no available timeslot for your order, you can proceed to complete your order and we will call / email you within 3 days from the order date to arrange for the delivery.
  3. Can I change the delivery method after the transaction has completed?
    The delivery method cannot be changed after the transaction has completed.
Home delivery service
  1. Can I get free delivery if ordering online?
    Generally, the Home Delivery Service Fee is the same as that in stores. There may be free delivery services offered by some stores but such promotion is not applicable for Online Shopping Service.
  2. Are the disposal and hang-on-wall wall-mounting service available for online service?
    Sorry but disposal service and hang-on-wall wall-mounting service is not available for online orders.
  3. Is the assembly service applicable to online order?
    • Assembly service is strictly limited to IKEA product assembly.
    • Due to safety reason, selected products (e.g. wardrobes and bookcases, etc) include safety wall-mounting kits. If you would require assembly service for these products, we must fully assemble these products and install the safety wall-mount on a concrete wall. Partial wall-mounting is not applicable. If you refuse to have the wall-mount installed, our service provider cannot provide assembly service. You may choose self-assembly or return the item The assembly service fee will be refunded for any incomplete assembly.
    • Assembly service is only applicable to newly delivered products. Our service provider will not assemble or install any new products to existing furniture or IKEA products that were previously assembled.
    • Assembly service is not applicable for kitchen and bathroom areas.
    • For large furniture items, such as bed frames and wardrobes, our service provider may not be able to provide assembly service due to insufficient assembly space. You may choose self-assembly or return the item(s) in this case. In this case, the assembly service fee will be refunded.
    • Assembly service for some furniture items might also be restricted by rules of Assembly Space and/or Safety Wall-mounting.
Pick-up service
  1. Can I collect my online order at stores?
    You can only collect your order from our Merchandise Pick-up Point. It is not possible to collect online purchases from our stores.
  2. Can I use the assembly service after collecting my items at the Merchandise Pick-up Point?
    Sorry, we cannot add assembly service after collecting items at the merchandise pick-up point.
Office parcel delivery service
  1. How can I select the Parcel Delivery service?
    When all items in your shopping cart fits in the box of size of 30cm x 50cm x 30cm, the option of Parcel Delivery service will appear automatically in the Delivery Method page.
  2. Which area are covered by Parcel Delivery service?
    Parcel Delivery service is only applicable to Office Addresses in Hong Kong, excluding Tung Chung and Park Island, Discovery Bay and Outlying island, as well as restricted areas, roads which prohibits truck weighted 5.5 tones or above, exhibition site, hotel, apartment/houseboat under renovation, boat, construction site, container terminal, addresses where goods delivery have to go through the balcony. Should deliveries be made to a ferry terminal, the customer must arrange their own drop off/pick up logistics.
7-Eleven pick-up service
  1. How can I select the 7-Eleven Pick-up service?
    When each item in your shopping cart fits in the box with size of 30cm x 50cm x 30cm, the option of 7-Eleven Pick-up service would appear automatically in the Delivery Method page.
  2. How many 7-Eleven convenient stores would be available?
    Please click here to find the list of 7-Eleven stores available for Pick-up Service.
  3. Why can I not choose the store on the list at Delivery Method page?
    Due to limited space in 7-Eleven convenience stores, the store may be unable to take more orders. Please select other convenience stores or other delivery method.
  4. Can I return goods at 7-Eleven convenient stores?
    7-Eleven convenience stores are only pick-up locations. Return service is not available. Please bring any items that you woud like to return to any Hong Kong IKEA store.
S.F. Express pick-up service
  1. How can I select the S.F. Store Pick-up Service?
    When each item in your shopping cart is eligible for S.F. Pick-up Service, the option will appear automatically in the Delivery Method page. The item is eligible when the sum of three sides are less than 142cm, weight limitation per item is 20kg and total order weight is within 100kg.
  2. How many S.F. stores will be available?
    There are a total of 139 stores available for pick-up. Please see the updated list in S.F. Express web site.
  3. Why can I not see the store on the list at Delivery Method page?
    S.F. Express may suspend some of their stores due to operational reasons. We will therefore disable the selection temporarily.
  4. Can I return my purchase at S.F. stores?
    S.F. stores are only pick-up locations with no return service. Please bring any items that you would like to return to any Hong Kong IKEA store.
  5. Can I change the pick-up date?
    We regret that the pick-up date cannot be modified once the order is confirmed.
  6. Can I cancel my order?
    We regret that the order cannot be cancelled once the order is confirmed.
  7. How will I be notified when my order is available for pick-up?
    You will receive an SMS sent by S.F. Express to the number you provided. Please make sure the number is able to receive SMS.
  8. What will I be required to present when picking-up my order?
    You will be asked to present the SMS which contains the waybill number of your order. You will need to sign to confirm receipt of the parcels.
  9. How is the service charge calculated?
    The service charge depends on the total weight of your order. The charge is HK$35 per 10kg. For example, 0-10kg is HK$35, 11-20kg is HK$70 and so forth.
  10. What is “Waybill No.”?
    The Waybill No. helps you to track the delivery status of an order to a S.F. Express pickup point on the S.F. Express web site. You can find it in the “SF-Express Order Delivery Notification” which we will send to you via email.
IKEA Hong Kong Online Sales – Payment
  1. Which payment methods does IKEA accept for online shopping?
    VISA card with Verified by VISA or MasterCard with MasterCardR SecureCode are accepted.In addition, after 23 Jan 2018, we accept the new version of the IKEA gift card which has a 4-digit security code. To find out more about the new version of the gift card, please click here.
  2. Why is my transaction rejected?
    There are a number of reasons for online transactions being rejected. The most common one is due to failure in transaction authentication during online payment process. Please kindly contact your card issuing bank and ensure that your card is registered with Verified by VISA (VBV)/ MasterCardR SecureCode (MSC).
  3. Can I pay in another currency?
    The prices of IKEA products are shown in Hong Kong Dollar, and we only accept payment in Hong Kong Dollar.
  4. Is there any upper limit for online shopping at IKEA.com.hk?
    For security reasons, the total amount of your online order cannot exceed HK$100,000.
  5. Can I use gift vouchers or gift cards to pay my online order?
    We accept payment by Visa or MasterCard, or the new version of IKEA gift card (effective from 23 Jan 2018). To find out more about the new version of the gift card, please click here.
  6. How safe is my personal information?
    We follow strict security procedures when storing your personal information to prevent unauthorised access. No credit card details are stored in our website. Please read our privacy policy here.
IKEA Hong Kong Online Sales – Order Fulfillment
  1. How can I know the delivery date and time for my online order? We will call you to arrange the delivery and assembly service (if applicable) within 3 days from the order. If we cannot reach you by phone, we will contact you via email to arrange the delivery and assembly service. For merchandise pick-up, office parcel delivery and parcel pick-up services, we will send you an email to regarding the pick up or delivery schedule within 3 days.
  2. Truck Delivery - Can I amend my online order? Once online order is confirmed, it is NOT POSSIBLE to:
    • change the delivery method
    • combine the delivery with any other purchases from online or store
    • add new items and services to the original order
    If you would like to change the delivery method or add new items and services, please contact us to cancel the original order and place a new order via the web site. We will arrange refund to the account of your original payment within 4 weeks.
    If you would like to reschedule the order, please email schedule@IKEA.com.hk 5 days (Hong Kong) and 9 days (Macau) prior to the delivery day, otherwise HK$200 (Hong Kong) and HK$350 (Macau) will be charged as administrative fee.
    If you would like to amend the order (partial or full cancellation on items or services), the delivery must be rescheduled (normally to a later date).

  3. Can I check the status of my online order on website?
    Such function is not available yet. However, once you completing the payment, you should receive the following documents sent from our system:
    1. Order Confirmation: when the payment received and order generated successfully.
    2. Delivery Confirmation: informing the expected delivery/pick-up date within 3 days since receive the order confirmation.
    3. Invoice: when the order was ready for delivery, certificate for product guarantee and return.
    In addition, an additional SMS will be sent to you before the delivery, or when your order has arrived at the pick-up point.
IKEA Hong Kong Online Sales – After Sales
  1. What should I do if my item has defects or is damaged upon arrival?
    Please check your products thoroughly when they are collected or delivered. Please contact us by email Online.Sales@IKEA.com.hk (9:00 am– 6:30pm).
  2. Does “30-day return and exchange guarantee” apply to online orders?
    Yes, the "30-day return and exchange guarantee" applies to online orders. However, replacement is only applicable for Furniture Items. Replacement must be of the same model, colour and size. For Home Accessory items, only return and refund will be offered. Refund will be issued to the original method of payment. Please let us know in advance if you have lost or cancelled the said credit card, or the IKEA gift card you used.
  3. Are the Product Guarantee and the 100-day mattress and mattress pad trial applicable to online orders?
    Yes, the “Product Guarantee” and “100-day mattress and mattress pad trial” also apply to online orders.
IKEA gift card
  1. Where can I use the IKEA gift card?
    IKEA gift cards can be used in IKEA Hong Kong stores. The gift card can be used for purchase of furniture, home accessories, kitchen appliances, bargain items, transaction in IKEA Restaurant and Cafe, Bistro, Swedish Food Market and all service charges.

    The new gift card (to be issued from 23 Jan 2018) can even be used as a payment option in online shopping service.
  2. How to differentiate the new IKEA gift card from the old version?
    The new IKEA gift card can be used as a payment method for online shopping service. A 4-digit security code is printed on the back of the new IKEA gift card, which is covered by a scratch panel. Moreover, there are two new card front versions for selection.A 20-digit gift card number is printed on the back of both the new and old version of the gift card with dash separators for new IKEA gift card for easier reading when using for online shopping.
    No matter which gift card version you have, you can use them in any IKEA Hong Kong stores for multiple times.
  3. Where can I purchase an IKEA Gift card?
    You can purchase a gift card at the checkout of any of IKEA Hong Kong stores and Island East Merchandise Pick-up Point.
  4. In what denominations are gift cards sold?
    Gift cards sold in IKEA stores can be of any multiples of HK$100, up to a maximum of HK$10,000.

    In 7-Eleven stores, $100 or $500 gift cards are available for selection.
  5. Does the full value of the gift card have to be redeemed at once?
    The IKEA gift card is designed to carry a balance, therefore, if you use a gift card to pay for something of lesser value than it is stored in the card, the amount of the purchase will be subtracted and the remaining balance will stay on the card for future use. Please be aware of the expiry date.
  6. Do gift cards have an expiration date?
    Gift cards will be valid for 2 years from date of purchase or reload.
  7. How can I find out the balance on my card?
    You can find out the balance on your gift card by visiting any of the checkouts in IKEA Hong Kong stores.
  8. What should I do if my card is lost or stolen?
    Please treat your card as cash and keep it in a safe place. We are unable to replace or freeze the value of a lost or stolen card.
