What we do
If you need assistance getting your purchases home, we can help arrange a door-to-door delivery service at reasonable rates. Our delivery service is also available for Outlying Islands in Hong Kong and Macau.

Updates on delivery and assembly service

In view of the latest pandemic situation in Hong Kong, in order to protect our customers and coworkers, delivery and assembly services may be affected if the delivery address or building has following circumstances:

  • If the building is included in ‘Lists of Specified Premises of Compulsory Testing Notices’
  • If the delivery address has someone tested positive in the past 14 days
  • If the delivery address has persons undergoing self-quarantine or "StayHomeSafe" Scheme
  • If the customer does not wear a mask when we deliver the goods to the address.
Besides, all products are sanitized before being delivered to the stores or customers. And all delivery and assembly coworkers are required to do a rapid antigen test and obtain a negative result before work. For any enquiry, please send an email to enquiry@IKEA.com.hk. Express Delivery Service Arrangement
  1. Express Delivery service is not applicable to restricted areas, customers from outlying islands, Ma Wan, Tung Chung & Discovery Bay, road which prohibited truck weighted 5.5 tones or above, apartment under renovation, exhibition site, warehouse, hotel, boat house/boat, construction site, container terminal, addresses where goods delivery have to go through the balcony.

  2. Same day Express Delivery Order must complete payment by 15:00.

  3. Express Delivery Service does not include in all free delivery fee promotion.

  4. Express Delivery Service does not accept product price over $100,000.

  5. Express Delivery Service does not apply to online customers and display items.

  6. Express Delivery Order does not enjoy reschedule, combine / amend order service. If customer cancel order after purchase, all delivery service fee will not be refunded. Please visit IKEA store 3 days after for refund process.

  7. Express Delivery Service covers addresses only within a 100m parameter of the unloading point. For addresses outside the prescribed scope, HKD$300 surcharge will be collected and receipt will be provided by IKEA authorized delivery service provider.

  8. For buildings without lift or for product that can only access through staircases, there will be additional delivery charge of HKD$50 per floor, up to 8 floors.

  9. There will be no refund of both delivery fee and the express delivery service fee on delivery failure due to an unattended recipient address upon arrival of goods at the appointed time. Should delivery be rescheduled in such circumstance, we will require additional delivery charges.

  10. In case of bad weather conditions, serious flooding or blocked or closed roads, the deliveries may be delayed or suspended. IKEA will contact the affected customer within 24 hours via SMS/phone for rescheduling of delivery and such delivery will be made within 7 days thereafter.

  11. The person receiving the goods at the delivery address shall be over 18 years of age and shall be deemed your authorized representative and that any instructions/information provided and act done by such authorized representative shall be deemed instructions/information provided and act done by you. The delivery team will call you regarding the estimate arrival time 30 minutes in prior. We may contact you for a follow-up survey after delivery.

  12. Customer must use express delivery service in order to enjoy express assembly service, which is only applicable to pick-up and delivery under the same address.

  13. Disposal service is not applicable to express delivery service.

  14. Express delivery and assemble service will not be provided on Sunday and public holiday.

  15. IKEA reserves the final right to interpret the terms and conditions herein. In the event of conflict between the English and Chinese versions, the English version shall prevail.

Hong Kong and Macau Area Delivery Service Arrangement
  1. Delivery service is not applicable to restricted areas, road which prohibited truck weighted 5.5 tones (Hong Kong)/ 3 tones (Macau) or above, apartment under renovation, exhibition site, warehouse, hotel, boat house/boat, construction site, container terminal, addresses where goods delivery have to go through the balcony or places where the on-site environment does not allow the delivery of the purchased goods. If delivery is required to the passenger terminal, the customer shall arrange the sea delivery and cargo loading and unloading by himself/herself.

  2. Home delivery service does not apply to market hall items, fragile items and display items. Customers from outlying islands can arrange combined delivery of items sent from our store and items sent from warehouse.

  3. All items will be completed for delivery within 30 days from date of purchase.

  4. Reschedule, order cancellation, add or amend product items: 

    •    Orders through IKEA Hong Kong stores
    -    To reschedule, please email enquiry@ikea.com.hk at least 3 days before delivery. 
    -    To amend or cancel your order, please bring the original sales order to the IKEA stores where you made your purchase in Hong Kong at least 3 days before delivery.
    -    HKD$200 / HKD$1,000 (Outlying Islands) administration fee will be charged for amendments made within 3 days of deliveries to Hong Kong.

    •    Orders through IKEA Macau store
    -    To reschedule, please e-mail to enquiry@ikea.com.hk at least 7 days (for Macau) before delivery; otherwise, please visit the store of your original purchase directly for rescheduling. 
    -    For amending or cancelling your order, please bring the original sales order to the IKEA stores where you made your purchase in Macau at least 5 days before delivery. 
    -    MOP$220 administration fee will be charged for amendments made within 5 days of deliveries to Macau.


    •    Orders through IKEA online shop (for both Hong Kong and Macau)
    -    To reschedule, please e-mail to enquiry@ikea.com.hk at least 3 days (for HK) or 7 days (for Macau) before delivery. 
    -    To make changes to your order, e-mail to enquiry@ikea.com.hk at least 3 days (for HK) or 7 days (for Macau) before delivery to cancel your order, and place your order again. 
    -    HKD$200 administration fee will be charged for amendments made within 3 days (for HK) or 7 days (for Macau) before delivery.

  5. Service covers addresses only within a 100m parameter of the unloading point. For addresses outside the prescribed scope, a maximum of HKD$300 (Hong Kong and Macau online customers)/ MOP$300 (Macau store customers) surcharge will be collected and receipt will be provided by IKEA authorized delivery service provider.
    For outlying islands, packaging collection will not be covered in Cheung Chau, Peng Chau and Lamma Island (except Lantau Island). Such charges are calculated as follow:

IKEA Swedish Food Market Delivery Service
  • Coverage area: Hong Kong (Excluding Outlying Islands, Discovery Bay, Tung Chung and Park Island)

  • Service charge: $35/10 kg (Max 40 kg per order)

  • Available range: Swedish Food Market online buyable products, include frozen, chilled and ambient food (Excluding alcoholic drink)

  • Delivery time: Around 2 business days

  • Delivery hours: Between the hours of 17:00 to 21:00 Monday to Sunday

IKEA Swedish Food Market Delivery Service
  1. This Service is applicable to Hong Kong (refers to Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories). Service fees will be charged according to the total weight of each order, HK$35 will be charged for every 10kg, less than 10kg will be calculated as 10kg. The maximum weight per order is 40kg.

  2. This Service is applicable to online purchase products, including frozen, chilled and ambient food (not including alcoholic drinks) (“Products”).

  3. Please read carefully these Terms and Conditions which apply to the purchase of the Products from the website.

  4. IKEA reserves the final decision on the transactions. In the event of conflict between the English and Chinese versions, the English version shall prevail.  

General
  1. IKEA reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions in its absolute discretion without prior notice to Customers. The Customer is reminded to review these Terms and Conditions prior to submitting any order. Once an order is placed, the Customer is deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions prevalent at the time.

  2. Once the order is confirmed, changes and cancellations (including applying for a refund, changing the delivery date, changing the delivery address, merging orders, and changing the Products and quantity) are not applicable to the online food delivery service.

  3. Stock availability may not be updated on the website in real time due to the large number of orders. Any Product is unavailable, IKEA will contact Customer by phone or email to assist refund accordingly. Payment for the unavailable Product will be refunded with 4-6 weeks in the form of payment made at the time of purchase. Remaining Products in the same Order will be delivered as scheduled.

Delivery Policy
  1. The service is not applicable to restricted areas, outlying islands, Ma Wan, Tung Chung and Discovery Bay, locations where trucks are prohibited, no lawful unloading areas within 100 meters of the building, apartment under renovation, exhibition site, warehouse, hotel, boat house/boat, construction site, container terminal, addresses where delivery have to go through the balcony or places where the on-site environment does not allow the delivery of the purchased goods. If delivery is required to the passenger terminal, the customer shall arrange the sea delivery and cargo loading and unloading by himself/herself.

  2. When receiving the Products, the Customer shall confirm receipt of the Products with delivery personnel (unless the Customer has specifically instructed IKEA to leave the Products outside the door/concierge. Such deliveries shall be at Customer's own risk). It is recommended to put the frozen and chilled Products in the refrigerator within 30 minutes of delivery to avoid deterioration.

  3. Delivery will be arranged at the lobby for buildings without a functioning lift. Delivery will be arranged at the village entrance or designated location for village house address.

  4. The delivery hours shall be between the hours of 17:00 to 21:00 Monday to Sunday.

  5. The deliveries may be delayed or suspended on days of bad weather conditions, No.8 typhoon or above or black rainstorm signal is hoisted, serious flooding or blocked or closed roads conditions. Customers will be contacted within 24 hours via SMS or phone for rescheduling of delivery and such re-delivery will be made within 7 days thereafter.

  6. If on the day of delivery, the delivery address is unanswered, the order will be cancelled and payment for that order will be refunded, however, the service fee will not be refunded.

  7. The person receiving the Products at the delivery address shall be over 18 years of age and shall be deemed as the authorized representative of the Customer and that any instructions/information provided and act done by such authorized representative shall be deemed instructions/information provided and act done by the Customer. The delivery team will call the Customer regarding the estimate arrival time approximately 30 minutes in advance. IKEA may contact the Customer for a follow-up survey after delivery.

  8. Dry ice is attached to frozen and chilled Products, please handle it properly and pay attention to the following points:

    1. do not touch dry ice directly with hands as it may cause frostbite;

    2. do not ingest dry ice or place in any food or drink;

    3. keep away from children;

    4. dispose of dry ice by letting it evaporate in a well-ventilated area;

    5. do not dispose of dry ice in trash cans, bins, garbage chutes or sink;

    6. do not put dry ice in the fridge.

Products Return / Refund
  1. IKEA does not accept food returns.

  2. The Customer shall not be entitled to return a Product on the basis that it does not correspond exactly to its image or photo on the website

  3. If a Product delivered was in a damaged condition (except vandalism), its selling date expired, or omitted in the delivery, or if a wrong product was delivered, IKEA will refund the price of such Product to the Customer. Customer must notify enquiry@ikea.com.hk within 72 hours of receipt of the relevant Products in questioned. IKEA will review whether the reason for return or refund is sufficient, and reserves the right to refuse any request for return or refund.

  4. If IKEA is unable to provide any Products or services in an order due to shortage of supply. Customer will be notified by phone or email for refund.
