If you are a side sleeper, have the larger side facing up. The negative wedge space creates a pocket for your shoulder giving head and neck good support and reducing pressure on your shoulder.

If you are a back sleeper, have the smaller side facing up. The slope provides support for the neck and neck muscles, letting you relax.
