The end of the year is a hectic time for many. Break the pattern by treating yourself to a relaxing, no-stress day in bed for the entire family.
Bed laden with fluffy bedding, cushions and throws, trolley with snacks and drink beside it, a net in a knot hanging above.
With just a bit of prepping, little else has to be done once everything, and everyone, are in place. Let your headboard or bedside table become a super accessible refreshment stand. Choice of food and drink is up to you, but going for “guilty pleasures” is seldom wrong.

Only slow activities allowed

Keep distractions to a minimum. Have a selection of reads, board games and low-intensity options nearby.

Roll in the snack buffet

Even doing nothing calls for a bit of nutrition. Stack up on fruits, snacks and drinks to make the moment special and keep tummies happy.
Bedroom dimly lit up by a projector in a wall cupboard above the bed, its beam aimed at a roller blind across the room.

Shh! The film’s about to start!

You have the snacks and the drinks, comfy seating and an audience that isn’t going anywhere soon. In other words, it’s time to set up the projector, adjust the roller blind (that’s now a screen) and roll the opening credits.
A mosquito net draped over a cosily lit, fluffy, unmade bed, a toy monkey propped up against the headboard.

A cocoon for the busy season

Keeping bugs away is just one of the great ways to use a net. Letting it create a sense of comfort and closeness is another. Drape the family in a bubble of calm, before it’s time to get back in gear – rested and ready.

Give your bed the royal treatment – add a canopy
